Sherry’s Amazing BBQ Brisket From Elk Mountain Ranch

Nothing compares to some good BBQ brisket. This BBQ brisket is cooked in the oven but you wouldn't know it! It is packed with flavor and oh so tender.  Get this all-star, easy-to-follow recipe from the folks over at Elk Mountain Guest  Ranch.

Sherry's BBQ Beef Brisket

5-6 pound brisket
1 large onion, peeled & sliced
4 gloves garlic, minced
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup red wine vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup water
1 (8 oz.) bottle chili sauce
2 bay leaves
1/3 cup Dijon mustard
3 Tbsp. molasses

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Sear meat on both sides.
  3. Stir marinade ingredients together and pour over meat.
  4. Cover with foil and seal tightly.  Cook until tender.
  5. Remove meat, slice and return to juices.  Discard bay leaves.
  6. Refrigerate overnight.  Reheat for 1-1 ½ hours before serving.
