RanchSeeker represents many guest ranches and working ranches found in the USA, Canada, and South America. In our last two blog posts we posted some photos that our guest ranches and working ranches picked out to share with you. We asked them to choose one of their favourite photos and tell us why they like it so much and what it represents to them. Here are some more guest rancher’s favourite photo picks and why.

Colorado Trails Ranch, Durango, Colorado

Fun, adventure and breathtaking scenery at Colorado Trails Ranch, in the San Juan Mountains outside historic Durango, Colorado include horseback riding on scenic trails, fly-fishing, rafting, shooting sports and hiking. Children have the time of their lives making friends and discovering new activities in CTR’s children/teens’ program. Evenings offer a hayride & campfire sing-along, western dancing, cookouts and relaxing under starlit skies. More activities, friendly staff, excellent food, cozy cabins and spectacular location make this a vacation of a lifetime.

“The photo is one of my favorites because it shows what we are doing to improve the ranch. It is our final new barn which we finished last summer. We do still have to replace the fencing around the barns and corrals, and we are still working on exactly what we want to do. It also signals the fact that now we can move on to beginning to replace our cabins with roomier and even more comfortable cabins. Part of this renovation began last spring with new water and sewer lines, plus we buried the power lines. Now we are in the process of designing new cabins and will begin construction this fall after we close. We plan to replace one or two cabins a year. We are also planning on a new swimming pool and hot tub. To me, it means a great ranch will be even greater with new and refreshed buildings. Our program and activities are still varied and as great as ever.—Jeanne”

Bar W Guest Ranch, Whitefish, Montana

A great western vacation for all ages is what the Bar W Guest Ranch on Spencer Lake in Whitefish is all about. The Bar W is open year round and ready to treat you with true Western Montana hospitality - from the moment you arrive to long after you have left. Beautiful vistas and rolling ridges adorn the Montana countryside of this cozy dude ranch.

“This is one of my favorite photos from our Friday night grill-outs. We grill a delicious steak dinner out at our Play Meadow followed by our campfire sing-a-long. Guests and staff alike enjoy roasting marshmallows and singing along to classic campfire songs. Our cowboy singer keeps the crowd entertained into the evening. Guests at the ranch arrive as strangers and leave as friends often times with tears in their eyes and a list of emails to stay in touch.—Heather”

Coffee Creek Ranch, Trinity Center, California

Picture-postcard views await you in the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area of Northern California, with snow-capped mountains, cascading waterfalls, lush meadows, and sparkling lakes. Our staff makes our guests feel at home. Coffee Creek has every imaginable guest ranch amenity, with the most popular still being horseback riding. Rides are divided by ability levels. Breakfast rides are the most popular, with the all-day rides to a lake the most spectacular! For a unique experience, the all-day ride can be extended into an overnight pack trip returning the next day by lunch time. The wranglers offer a gymkhana, where the adults and children compete for the prized blue ribbon in various events.

“This is one of my favorites. Dolly, like most of our horses was born here and our young guests get to interact with the foals.  Dolly our new born foal.—Ruth”
