Elkhorn Ranch

The Elkhorn Ranch is one of the few remaining traditional dude ranches where the natural outdoor experience is the focus of activity. We are a family oriented ranch where all ages can enjoy their peers without sacrificing that very special feeling of time shared.
Guests, about forty each week, typically come and go on Sunday. There is a one week minimum, although we encourage longer stays to gain the most from the ranch, the riding and the other guests.
The ranch setting lends itself to exclusive seminars, retreats and small conferences, which are held during June and September.

Accommodation Description:
Fifteen log cabins set the tone of the Elkhorn Ranch, rustic elegance, comfort, and hospitality. Built mostly in the 30's, each is set apart from the others, with it's own view of the ranch meadow. Cabins vary in size, sleeping from one to eight people. All have a private bath with electric heat. All cabins have porches, most are covered, offering a quiet spot to relax after a day in the saddle. Here, too, people gather with new friends at the end of the day or steal an afternoon of solitude. There are no phones, although there is one in the office, or televisions to disturb the tranquility or interrupt the laughter of kids playing at the Rec Hall or pond. Wood stoves provide the main heat source and are especially appreciated in the early morning when we light them for you before you leave the comfort of your bed. Other useful amenities include lots of hot water and nightly turndowns.
